International. Eastman Chemical received EcoSpecifier Global GreenTag certification for its low-emissivity film technology for windows.
The recognition was based on product analysis, impact on construction operating expenses, personal and ecosystem health, local and global species, greenhouse gas emissions, and corporate responsibility.
GreenTag certification is recognized by the U.S. Sustainable Building Council's rank system. The US (LEED), as well as other rating bodies such as Breeam and the Sustainable Building Council of Germany.
The product known as EnerLogic 35 is designed to reduce solar heat gain and provides thermal efficiency in existing windows in hot and cold climates, without significantly reducing the amount of light entering a building.
