Colombia. The Nova Paint Club, which has eleven member companies operating in 80 countries, recently met in Bogotá to celebrate its 30 years of foundation. The event was presented by Andrés Ortega, general manager of Pintuco.
The group met with the aim of discussing the expansion of collaborative projects on color trends, and documentation on frequent colors and sustainability.
Additionally, Nova's board spoke about key trends in the global paint market. The keynote speaker at the meeting was Professor Antanas Mokus, who spoke on "Peaceful Coexistence Applied to Business". The council then visited Pintuco franchise stores around Bogotá.
Additionally, it was known that the company Pacific Paint (Boysen), representative of the Philippine market, became the new member of the club.
Valentine Varnishes will host the next Council meeting in October 2013 in Madrid, Spain. It will be held in conjunction with a meeting of Nova's technical directors.
The club currently has eleven core members from headquarters in Argentina (Sinteplast SA), Canada (Cloverdale Paint Inc.), Colombia (Pintuco), Germany (Votteler Lackfabrik GmbH & Co.), Greece (Druckfarben Hellas SA), India (Asian Paints), Israel (Tambour Ltd), Philippines (Boysen), Portugal (CIN SA), Spain (Varnices Valentine SA) and the United States (Vogel Paint Inc.).
