Latin America. Grupo Solid commemorated its 70th anniversary this Thursday in a ceremony held in the Main Cloister of Santo Domingo, a few blocks from the first Paleta store, opened in 1955 in Zone 1 of Guatemala City.
With a presence in 15 nations, the company highlighted its progress in the paints and coatings sector, in addition to the collaborations established over seven decades. The company's trajectory originates from its founder, Doña Julia de Ascoli, who laid the foundations of a corporate culture based on commitment, attention and proximity to customers.
In his institutional message, Ariel Koll Nescher, the executive president of Grupo Solid valued the role of the various participants who have supported the development of the organization: "The path traveled would not have been possible without our customers, suppliers and strategic partners. Together we have evolved, grown and generated sources of work and prosperity in the countries where we serve."
The company also highlighted the role of its employees, many of whom have been part of the team for more than three decades.
During the ceremony, reference was made to the symbolic value of this anniversary: "These 70 years teach us that legacy is not just memory: it is the living foundation on which we build the future we imagine," said engineer Michael Ascoli, founder of the company.
Grupo Solid plans to continue its expansion, strengthening relationships with its stakeholders and renewing its service mission in the different countries where it operates.
