Mexico. During his participation in the Annual Convention of Anafapyt, held on the beaches of Quintana Roo, the president of the Confederation of Industrial Chambers of the United Mexican States (Concamin), José Abugaber Andonie, highlighted the importance of the paint industry in the country.
In his participation with the talk "Pulse of the Industry", the business leader shared information generated by the Concamin Intelligence Center, among which he highlights that the annual sales of paint manufacturers amount to almost 70,000 million dollars and generate more than 12,000 jobs in the country.
The contribution of the paint industry is 7% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the chemical sector and is made up of 229 formal industries.
Among the topics addressed in his talk Abugaber Andonie highlighted the Industrial Policy and the opportunities that come with nearshoring, mentioning that if they are addressed correctly they will allow the country to grow at higher rates of 4% per year, which would translate into benefits for Mexican families.
The president of the National Association of Manufacturers of Paints and Inks (Anafapyt), Marcelo Herrera, and the general director of the institution, Flor de María González, thanked the participation of the president of Concamin, while giving him a recognition.
