Argentina. Pinturería Orlando, one of the more than 110 paint shops associated with the Argentine Chamber of Paint Shops (Capin), celebrated three decades of history.
Ariel Orlando began his business at the age of 25 with his girlfriend Nancy, current wife and mother of his three children: Federico (26), Facundo (23) and Charo (12).
His vision of starting with a paint shop had been proposed to his parents in 1990, considering that there was not much offer at that time and confident that it would be a good business.
In 1992 his father died and, from working teaching computer classes, he changed the portfolio for overalls, starting to do painting jobs in order to generate better income.
That same year, Ariel left her paternal home and began living with Nancy.
Together they began their path of independence. With only $ 6,000 they began to materialize their dream of opening their painting store. He himself made the shelves and the assembly of a small room of 3.5 x 10 square meters.
With great enthusiasm, on June 30, 1993, they opened their first store in Merlo, West Zone of Greater Buenos Aires, and began a career of learning and growth.
In 1995 they opened a small branch that was only open for eight months and, in 1997, they had a second attempt to open it also that lasted just six months.
In that same year they moved from the original premises to a more visible corner. The desire to progress was intact, although ignorance and unforeseen events also did their thing. The lack of experience generated errors that were difficult to overcome the rhythm.
In 1998, a new attempt at opening managed to consolidate itself in an even bigger corner. The bet was still ambitious regarding the ability to do. This place not only remained open 11 years, but they were also able to buy the property.
The next year, in 1999, finance said "see you here." But the closure of the bank account did not curb the entrepreneurial spirit. Taking responsibility for their debts, they made a call for creditors and went ahead.
Until 2012 there was a period of stabilization, which did not show commercial growth, so they decided to close the branch and reorganize.
From 2014, a stage of rebranding and renovation began, making a new logo and incorporating new hardware and software.
On March 13, 2020, they opened a branch in Merlo Sur again, managing to manifest the result of having reorganized.
"Following the premise of putting the attention and care of the client first, after having gone through 84 robberies and always maintaining a family format, today they celebrate their first three decades of life," says the note of the Capin portal that pays tribute to the perseverance through time of this Argentine company.
