United States. Nagase Specialty Materials (NSM) announces its expansion into the western United States, completing its presence in North America in partnership with its affiliate organization, Nagase Mexico.
NSM, a hybrid distributor and manufacturer of specialty chemicals, will expand to ten states, including California, Oregon, Colorado, Nevada, Washington, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Arizona and Wyoming.
"NSM's expansion into the western United States is part of our strategic plan. We have leveraged our resources, including our people and supplier relationships, to expand decisively and create near-term growth opportunities in the face of disruption that often results from conflict-producing acquisitions and fractured relationships," said NSM President Mark Miller.
NSM's Vice President of Functional Materials, Al Bernhardt, said: "I am confident that our approach to selling technically focused solutions will help our new customers in their production and formulation work."
"As part of NAGASE, NSM has global distribution, manufacturing, logistics, research and development, business development and technical resources that our suppliers and customers currently use.
The U.S. West Coast is the shortest logistics route to Asia, and we import a huge amount of material supplied by Asia. This westward expansion is a play of sound for us," Bernhardt continued.
