Latin America. The production of Cromax Gen will be carried out at Axalta's plants in Tlalnepantla and Ocoyoacac (State of Mexico). From there it will be exported initially to Latin American countries, and later to the United States and Canada.
During the last edition of Expo Cesvi, held from August 18 to 20 at the World Trade Center in Mexico City, Axalta launched the next generation of color-based technology for the automotive refinishing industry in Latin America called Cromax Gen.
"Color reproducibility is the fundamental element for the automotive refinish industry. The speed and accuracy with which we can make increasingly accurate color formulas available to the market is what differentiates us in the industry," said Marcelo Herrera, Director of Product and Business Development for Axalta Latin America.
The executive stressed that, for the design of Cromax Gen, Axalta experts carried out a meticulous process to select the latest technology of pigments, aluminum and special effects "that allow to provide durability, tone intensity, flash, cleanliness and ease of processing".
Cromax Gen was formulated at Axalta's Global Innovation Center located in Philadelphia, USA. The process involved a select group of scientists from the United States, Mexico and Europe who worked together to develop a product that helps the repainting workshops increase productivity and optimize costs.
For his part, the president of Axalta Mexico and vice president of the Refinish business for Axalta Latin America, Daniel Salcido, said: "At Axalta we continuously make sure we have the most complete portfolio of products that meet the demands of the automotive refinish industry.
