United States. Orion Engineered Carbons presents a group of new executives, who will assume their functions at the beginning of next June, and will be in charge of various areas in the executive management of the company.
The new Senior Vice President of Global Operations is Carlos Quiñones, who will take office from June 3. Quiñones has more than 25 years of experience in the chemical industry with Arco Chemical, Rohm and Haas/Dow Chemical, Praxair and Air Products and Chemicals and his experience includes "manufacturing chemicals in operations including high temperature reactions, waste heat optimization and high reliability systems," explains Corning Painter, CEO of Orion.
On the other hand, Pedro Riveros is appointed Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Americas, also assuming his position on June 3, after a long career at Air Products and Chemicals, where he held various general management and business positions in North and South America. "Pedro is an excellent business leader with a track record of achievement in each of his various positions. He will bring outstanding leadership to the Orion Americas team," painter said.
Finally, Patrick Tuttle is the new Senior Vice President of Global Human Resources, who will assume the role on June 10. Tuttle has over twenty years of experience in human resources, many of them in international positions. Painter highlights that "his exceptional hr expertise will be invaluable in driving our strategic growth and value improvement initiatives."
The current holders of these roles will be replaced by Messer's Quinones, Riveros and Tuttle, who will be based at Orion's Chief Executive Offices in Houston, Texas. Claudine Mollenkopf, Senior Vice President of Specialty Carbon Blacks, is retiring from Orion to pursue other business interests.
