Central America. Grupo Solid confirmed a strategic alliance with the Transocean brand for the expansion of its portfolio of high-performance coatings.
With this alliance, Grupo Solid increases its portfolio for the industrial and marine segment aimed at the Central American and Caribbean market. The commercialization of products will be carried out through the sales representatives Sytec throughout the region, Modelo in Nicaragua and Paleta also in Guatemala.

The products resulting from this alliance will be manufactured in Superbia, the largest paint plant in Mesoamerica, located in Masagua, Escuintla. Superbia has the ISO 9001:2015 certification, this allows to ensure quality processes.
Transocean was founded in 1959 and currently has a presence in 60 countries. It is a worldwide association of independent paint manufacturers that develops, manufactures and markets high-performance paint such as epoxides, vinyls, antifouling, anticorrosives and polyurethanes for the industrial segment. In addition, coatings for boats, yachts, marine facilities, among others.
They have a wide range of products that are produced in factories certified under the ISO 9001 standard. The coatings are developed to withstand chemical attack, abrasion and extreme atmospheric conditions.
"We have the quality certification, formulations, products and technology to produce Transocean products and be able to offer ad hoc solutions for our customers with a worldwide guarantee, but with local logistics times and competitive costs. We will be able to start offering products from January 2019," explained Juan Diego Toriello, Director of Sytec Regional.
