International. Chromaflo Technologies, a supplier of dye, chemical and pigment dispersion systems, announced plans to build a new pigment dispersion manufacturing facility that includes a single-storey warehouse space with a two-story office in Kuala Lumpur (KL), Malaysia.
As previously done in China, South Africa and India, Chromaflo will design and build a world-class factory, storage, technical laboratory and office facilities that are in line with the Chromaflo brand common to all existing Asia Pacific facilities. The 70,000-square-foot factory and warehouse and 8,000-square-foot office will provide assistance to customers throughout the Asean (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) region and are expected to be completed in January 2019. The new facility will be part of its new legal entity 'Chromaflo Technologies (M) SDN. BHD. This will be ASEAN's regional head office with a wide range of support functions for its ASEAN customers.
The facility will leverage the manufacture of a full range of water-based dyes, including those based on Chromaflo's low-VOC technology, solvent-based dyes and dyes with 100% solids. These technologies will support a wide range of end segments, such as architectural coatings; Industrial and high-performance coatings; wood finishes; ink concrete protection; latex; adhesives putties and sealants; layers of gel; and various applications of thermoset plastics.
