Peru. Sika Peru announced the opening of its headquarters in the metropolitan area of Lima and introduced a modern plant for the production of concrete additives, mortar products and acrylic membranes for liquid application. With this new plant, Sika reported that it is tripling its production capacities and strengthening its market position in Peru.
At the new headquarters in El Lúcumo, Sika has commissioned a modern plant for mortars and additives. The LAM acrylic membrane manufacturing equipment has also been moved to the new headquarters from the existing plant in Lurin, and has been further modernized. The new factory and supply center will result in a triple increase in total capacity. Optimal production processes and efficiency are the key features of this new production plant.
Future expansion plans include increasing infrastructure for the manufacture of polymers for high-performance concrete additives and waterproofing solutions for building structures.
"With the new site, we have laid the foundations to further expand our activities in Peru and refine our competitive position. With a population of 11 million, the Lima area is Peru's social and economic powerhouse and has a flourishing construction industry," said Christoph Ganz, regional manager for the Americas. "In Latin America, our strategic focus is on large cities and metropolitan areas, and we aim to fully unlock the potential of the growing market through our investment."
