Ecuador. The Laboratorio de Ensayos de Pinturas Unidas S.A. in Guayaquil recently obtained the Accreditation granted by the Ecuadorian Accreditation Service (SAE) to carry out tests under the ISO IEC 17025:2005 standard.
For the laboratory, the objective of this certification, obtained in June, is to contribute to the development of the country, being a valid option for market control bodies to monitor compliance with the different regulations of existing requirements in the country. In this way it will be possible to guarantee that the products marketed comply with the regulatory requirements, additionally an alternative is offered for the first time to manufacturers and distributors of paints so that they can carry out quality controls of their paints.
Among the different types of tests that the laboratory will provide within the scope of accreditation are the Determination of Specular Brightness, Stormer Viscosity, Resistance to Wet Abrasion and Lavability.
These trials cover countless varieties of coatings for both the architectural, industrial, wood finishing and automotive segments. Ensure that the results issued from the tests performed are reliable, truthful and accurate; the international recognition of the results issued, that is, that they are valid in any country in the world, are some of the advantages of using the services of an accredited laboratory.
