Colombia. In order to continue generating clean production processes that reduce the impact of operations on the environment, Andercol announced its renewed thermal oxidation system, also called Postcombustor.
The new equipment installed in the Andercol Cartagena plant is an improved version of the Afterburner developed at the Medellín plant in 2012, which was designed and built by Colombian companies and by the company's engineers, being pioneers in the country in this type of equipment.
The company explained that with the Afterburner the efficiency of removal of more than 95% of the wastewater of the process has been improved and about 80% of the odors emitted definitively and comprehensively in the Cartagena plant have been reduced. With this, they comply with environmental regulations, generating cleaner and more energy-efficient production processes.
"Andercol remains committed to delivering to its customers a portfolio of innovative and competitive products, manufactured in production plants that operate sustainably, taking care of the environment and under rigorous standards of operational efficiency," says the official statement published by Grupo Orbis.
