United States. The American Coatings Show 2018 (ACS) concluded on April 12, with a total of 558 exhibitors, 137,500 square feet of exhibition space and more than 9,200 participants in total, an event that was visited by Inpra Latina, and where we found a large presence of Latino attendees to this important event of the paints and coatings industry.
Exhibits at the 2018 event were larger than in previous years, with impressive exhibits and product demonstrations. Applicants lined up in the halls of the convention center during the first two days of the show, anticipating opportunities to network and establish new business connections.
The concurrent 2018 American Coatings Conference (ACC) concluded on April 11, with nearly 1,100 attendees taking advantage of more than 100 learning opportunities. During the conference, the 2018 American Coatings AWARD was presented to a team of researchers from DuPont Industrial Biosciences, keynoter Dr. Barry Snyder, senior vice president and CTO of Axalta Coating Systems delivered suggestive direction, and 2018 Mattiello Award winner Ray Fernando, Ph.D., of California Polytechnic State University, delivered the Mattiello lecture.
"2018 marks 10 years of success for this award-winning industrial event, which has become an important platform for companies to showcase products and conduct business. Attendees value the learning experiences the event brings, whether it's the information gained from product presentations or coatings research presented at the conference," said Cheryl Matthews, vice president of events and exhibitions for the Coatings Association of America.
"We have established a reputation for providing the industry with an event that offers a return on investment, and we remain committed to providing one of the most valuable experiences the industry has to offer," said Matthews.
