International. Solvay and SAS have signed an agreement to use a data analytics platform to augment Solvay's digital transformation as a contributor to improving production performance.
This collaboration will be applied for the first time at Solvay's largest production sites. Advanced Data Analytics consists of collecting historical and real-time data, to better understand the relationship between production parameters and improve asset performance. That should increase daily productivity or reduce raw material consumption.
Solvay is beginning the process of implementing advanced data analytics solutions to unlock the value of new and intelligent ways, in particular by increasing capacity, optimizing processes, reducing energy consumption, and increasing performance.
"Solvay's collaboration with SAS helps us implement advanced data analytics solutions in a consistent and efficient manner to add value to the business. Leveraging a single platform accelerates systematic development and deployment across our industrial network with faster business impact," said Alain Faessler, Managing Director of Industrial at Solvay Group.
