Clariant announced a price increase for its full range of masterbatch and composite products containing titanium dioxide, polymers, carbon black, pigments, dyes and various additives by 4-7% (depending on the grade, concentration and quality of titanium dioxide, polymer, carbon black, pigments, dyes and additives).
The increase includes masterbatches and white, black, color and additive compounds and relates to the following product brands: Remafin, Renol, Cesa, HiFormer and Mevopur. This will be effective for all deliveries from April 1, 2018 or as soon as contracts allow.
The company explained that this price increase is due to the continued rise in the prices of titanium dioxide, polymers, carbon black, pigments, dyes and additives driven by various factors, including supply and demand dynamics, steady capacity reductions in the pigments and dyes industry, and related increases in various materials.
