International. DowDuPont announced the corporate brands that each of its divisions plans to take on once they separate as independent companies as planned. While certain product names will change in separation, many products within each intended company will continue to be sold under their current and well-known brand names.
The proposed agricultural company, based in Wilmington, Delaware, will assume the name Corteva Agriscience (pronounced: kohr-'teh-vah), which is based on a combination of words meaning "heart" and "nature."
The materials science division will be called Dow and will retain the Dow diamond as its brand, building on the company's 121-year history of innovation and value creation.
The Wilmington, Delaware-based specialty company will become the new DuPont, reflecting the strength of its technology-driven specialty businesses with products and solutions for different industries.
As announced earlier this month, the Materials Science division is expected to separate by the end of the first quarter of 2019, with Agriculture and Specialty Products expected to be separated by June 1, 2019.
