International. Archroma announced that it has become a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact, joining the world's leading voluntary corporate social responsibility initiative with more than 9,500 participating companies from 160 countries.
Archroma explained that it is formally committed to supporting and promoting the 10 principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and the fight against corruption. This is fully aligned with Archroma's Sustainability Policy and Code of Conduct.
Archroma had demonstrated its commitment to making its industry more sustainable. The company introduced several innovations with the aim of making textile or paper manufacturing more sustainable, such as its biomass-based EarthColors range or the non-fluorinated Smartrepel water-repellent finish. Archroma also implemented advanced, resource-saving manufacturing processes at several of its production facilities, such as its zero-discharge facility in Jamshoro, Pakistan.
