International. Nine technologies from The Dow Chemical Co. won 10 R&D 100 awards at a recognition event. Among the winners of the award were various coating and adhesive technologies. The R&D 100 Awards, an exclusive program of R&D Magazine, is designed to identify and celebrate the top 100 revolutionary technologies introduced over the past year.

Our unmatched R&D engine and technology portfolio continues to generate new and innovative products that address customer needs in our dynamic and ever-changing world," said A.N. Sreeram, Senior Vice President of Research and Development and Chief Technology Officer, Dow. Among dow's award-winning R&D technologies of 2017 are the following coatings and adhesives:
- Dow Corning TC-2022 Thermally Conductive Adhesive, a thermally conductive thermally conductive adhesive for the demanding assembly of components in transport such as engine control units, power control units, transmission control units and sensors that require not only adhesive materials for assembly but also heat dissipation;
- Ecoground, a water-based acrylic binding system that completely replaces polyurethane adhesives for the manufacture of rubber running surfaces in athletics, playgrounds and corridors for schools, public institutions, sports and recreational facilities;
- Opaque polymer Ropaque NT-2900 for blue 4EST thermal paper that replaces conventional thermal paper, eliminating chemical developers and eliminating chemicals of concern from production; and
- Syl-Off EM 7978 Coating, an emulsion-based silicone coating for bakery and food delivery applications
