International. A total of 34,425 visitors were present at the last Chinacoat 2017, the main fair of the paints and coatings sector in China that took place from November 15 to 17 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.
The number of visitors exceeded by 11% the 30,852 registered in 2016. In this year, of the 34,425 attendees, 29,262 were domestic visitors, and 5,163 were international visitors, increasing by 8% this last figure compared to the 2016 event.
As for exhibitors, the event recorded a 13% increase for the total number of exhibitors compared to 2016. The fair attracted new exhibitors to participate, offering visitors a greater mix of exhibitors. There were 16% of new exhibitors this year (193 out of 1,210). The fair also revealed that it continued to attract exhibitors from more countries. This year companies from Vietnam and Norway were presented.
This year, the fair was distributed in different halls according to the business: powder coating technologies pavilion, UV/EB product technology pavilion, machinery pavilion, international and local instruments and services, and local and international raw materials pavilion.
