Brazil. The multinationals Scott Bader and Andercol, a company of the Orbis Group, announced an expansion in investments in Brazil with the purpose of doubling the capacity of the Novascott joint venture. With the expansion of the plant, current and new products will be manufactured, which today are a reality in the European market and other continents.
NovaScott started three years ago and was created to meet the needs of the gelcoats and composites market in general, offering in addition to gelcoats, special products such as acrylic resins, low shrink resins and structural adhesives.
Brazil presents new growth prospects and with the results achieved in different markets such as wind, swimming pools and electricity; Andercol and Scott Bader decided to expand their current plant located in Vitória, ES, bringing new equipment and new technologies that are not manufactured in Brazil today.
Gilson Tadeu Scaglia, general manager and Rodrigo Briguelli commercial coordinator of NovaScott, highlight the importance of this investment and what it can provide to the Brazilian market.
"Through the technologies of Scott Bader and the production processes of Andercol, we managed to position ourselves in the aforementioned markets, in a very prominent way in the wind market, bringing technical differentiation for customers and achieving parts and processes of better quality and added value. With the expansion of the plant we will nationalize new technologies such as Gelcoats of low VOC, free of styrene and also Gelcoats flame retardants, in addition to other specific products that today are a reality in Europe and other continents. Our idea is to increase the range of action, because Scott Bader, in addition to being a supplier model for the wind market, is a reference in the maritime and transport market, and we want to act more actively in these segments with high performance products and innovative technology".
