International. Grupo Orbis confirmed that the agreement has been closed for the sale of the company Inproquim, which has been acquired by Rocsa, a company with 20 years of experience in the distribution of chemicals in the market, with various suppliers around the world.
Through an official statement, Orbis confirms that after the announcement made on November 7, a process of closing the business and splicing process begins, "which will be managed with all the care and responsibility, always seeking to serve the market in a timely manner and mitigate any impact that this transaction may have."
The Orbis management team has evaluated the transaction and has considered that, in order to continue Inproquim's growth, there are other possibilities in the market that will allow it to enhance its capabilities to expand to the rest of Latin America.
Grupo Orbis explained that after this announcement it will continue to focus on strengthening the CORE industrial units of the business. "The organization remains focused on continuing to strengthen the productive operation in Cartagena, which currently has two plants of the chemical and water businesses, and successfully conclude the construction of a third plant that is being advanced in this same city."
For CSC and Corporate employees who provide a service directly related to the business, Orbis explained that everything related to processes and coordination with the new company will be coordinated. For now, the business will have to maintain its operation and the organization will continue to review the best way to manage the work teams.
