International. Emerald Performance Materials announced that it is in the process of separating from its Polymer Additives and Nitriles group, merging the businesses with its Emerald Kalama Chemical and CVC Thermoset Specialties groups, respectively. The polymer additive business will now be known as antioxidants and accelerators (AOAs).
"Both AOA and Nitriles have a stable history in the markets they serve, with well-known legacy brands, extensive technical expertise and North American operations in Akron, Ohio and Henry, Illinois."
"Separating these businesses will allow us to develop appropriate strategies for each and support continued growth and better serve our clients," said Scott Wolff, President of Emerald Performance Materials and Managing Director of American Securities, a private equity firm that owns Emerald.
Emerald appointed Wendy Herbst (pictured) as general manager to lead AOA's business. In this role, you will focus on optimizing and expanding the business globally.
