Guatemala. Remodelación Ciudad de las Gardenias was called the renovation project of the Coatepeque Theater in Quetzaltenango, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sport, Comercializador Romerck S.A. and the corporate social responsibility program of PPG Comex.
PPG explained that this project was focused on community engagement efforts, and that it has currently benefited a large number of organizations and institutions in the Central American region.
"We are excited that PPG's Corporate Social Responsibility program will reach the municipality of Coatepeque in the department of Quetzaltenango and position the long tradition of community support that Comex has always offered the country," said Jorge Mario López, Commercial Manager of PPG Comex Zona Norte.
In Coatepeque, the theater is considered a hotbed nationally and internationally, having as one of the greatest exponents and young values, Óscar Javier Almengor Trangay with the film "El Silencio de Neto".
In addition, the municipality has the Coatepeque Theater Company founded in 1989 and awarded nationally and internationally, with staging in several countries of Central America, Mexico, the United States and Cuba.
With more than 10,000 gallons of paint earmarked since 2015, PPG has contributed to the cause. In the next ten years, the multinational plans to invest more than 10 million dollars in various projects around the world, in which volunteer employees, their products and solidarity donation resources can contribute to bringing new colors and vitality to the communities in which PPG operates.
