International. AkzoNobel has completed the acquisition of the French manufacturer Disa Technology (Disatech), with which it hopes to strengthen its position in the supply of industrial coatings and aerospace and automotive coatings.
Headquartered in Limoges, Disatech specializes in the manufacture of vinyl, polyester and polycarbonate self-adhesive films used in aircraft, vehicles, agricultural machinery and other equipment.
Commenting on the final deal, Ruud Joosten, COO Paints and Coatings at AkzoNobel, said: "With the acquisition now completed, we can invest more in growth and innovation. The technology and knowledge acquired from Disatech reinforces the range of products and services we can offer our customers, bringing them numerous benefits."
The acquisition of Disatech will bring new technologies and services that complement AkzoNobel's existing portfolio of coatings and films for the aerospace and transportation sectors.
