International. Orion Engineered Carbons announced new developments focused on highly dispersible carbon blacks for coating applications and will feature its latest grade: XPB 430 Powder, a carbon black for aqueous coatings.
In addition, Orion will present its two iconic Carbon Blacks for coating applications. These specialty grades for the high degree of darkness in water and solvent-based coatings are: Color Black Fw 255 Powder for OEM automotive and refinish systems, and Special Black 40 Powder for industrial applications.
"We have carbon black grades that excel in dispersibility, compatibility and flexibility," said Dr. Jennifer Granados, Marketing Manager, Orion, Coatings & Specialty Applications, Americas Region. "They make it easy to incorporate into coatings and offer a wide range of options in formulations."
These products will be presented by Orion during the upcoming Abrafati fair, which will be held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, from October 3 to 5.
