International. A new edition of the Global Ranking of top paint and coating manufacturers was published by the American magazine Coatings World, which reveals as this year's winner the company PPG Industries with sales of US $ 14,300 million.
The second place on the list is occupied by AkzoNobel, with sales worth US $ 10,660 million, while the last place on the podium is provided by the company Sherwin Williams, which recorded sales in 2016 for US $ 7,426 million.
Representing Latin America, three companies appear in the ranking: Pintuco (Colombia) appears in 52nd place with sales in 2016 of US$280 million. While Brazil has two representatives: Renner Saylerlack (78th place) with sales of US$117 million, and WEG (position 83) with sales of US$106 million.
Unlike in past years, the international publication made a significant change by removing adhesive manufacturers from the report: H.B., Fuller, Henkel, Lord, Sika and 3M have all been omitted.
