United States. Sherwin-Williams, through its Industrial Wood Coatings Division, has formalized a $300,000 investment in the Manufacturing Industry Learning Laboratory (MiLL), a new national training center that teaches the next generation of merchants and women in woodmaking.
Opened in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in August 2017, the 46,000-square-foot MiLL will offer classes to elementary and post-secondary students in the Peyton and Widefield school districts, industry personnel, and members of the military. Your curriculum will focus on hands-on education that uses machines and technologies that students will encounter at work.
"The MiLL offers a fantastic opportunity for students to master the skills that will kick-start their business careers with unprecedented access to industry-leading educators and teams," said Dennis Karnstein, President and CEO of Sherwin-Williams. "There is no greater way to support our mission to grow the success of the timber industry than to ensure that our future leaders have the best tools and knowledge."
