International. Arkema announced that it has successfully launched new polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) resin capabilities on its Changshu platform near Shanghai. With this 25% increase in production capacities in China, Arkema, which runs PVDF production plants on three continents (Europe, North America and Asia), considers itself to have consolidated its position in the sector.
This new investment in Kynar fluoropolymers supports Arkema's ambition in Technical Polymers and its growth strategy for the High Performance Materials segment.
The company explained that this event will allow it to continue to sustain the growth of its customers in Asia, in particular in the new energy markets (batteries and photovoltaics) and water management, as well as in more traditional applications such as construction coatings and the chemical process industry.
