International. The high-performance polymer division in the resource efficiency segment of Evonik Industries, Essen (Germany), is increasing the prices of its polyamide 12-based products by 6%, to the extent permissible under existing agreements.
The company argued that the price increase is necessary because of the increased costs. The products affected by the price increase are Vestamid L and Vestamid NRG (PA12), Vestamid D (PA612), Vestamid E (PA12 elastomers), as well as products from the Vestamid Care range and also Vestosint polyamide 12 powder.
On the other hand, the company confirmed that it inaugurated on January 31 a new coating additives laboratory at its headquarters in Tuzla (Istanbul - Turkey). The state-of-the-art laboratory, which also includes a customer service center, will support customers with the development of innovative surface coatings in Turkey and throughout the Middle East.
The Application Technology Lab has state-of-the-art equipment to process customer requests for a wide range of coatings and printing ink applications. This allows laboratory personnel to effectively formulate, apply and test a variety of coatings and printing inks in water-based, solvent-based or radiation-cured formats. Modern laboratory equipment also includes a spray booth and a climate chamber.
