Colombia.
The Orbis Foundation, belonging to the Orbis Group, owner of Pintuco, and the District Secretariat of Habitat of Bogotá officially launched, at the end of the previous year, in the Aguas Claras neighborhood of the capital of the country, Habitarte, the strategy of transformation of neighborhood and community environments through art and color.
María Carolina Castillo, District Secretary of Habitat, led the event in the company of Rodolfo Bayona Plata, president of the Orbis Group, who empowered the community to be an active part of this initiative that will change its environment and that by the end of this 2017 will reach more than 10,000 homes in Bogotá.
"From Orbis we understand that through the transformation of the habitat, meetings and solidarity work are generated among the inhabitants, which contributes directly to social coexistence, to the promotion of dialogue, respect for the other, the recognition of differences and the generation of meeting points for negotiation and social consultation", Bayonne said.
Orbis volunteers, accompanied by the community, participated in this initiative, painting the facades and walls of this neighborhood in the south of Bogotá.
The Habitarte strategy represents an alliance that will guide community achievements through painting as a vehicle to achieve processes of social transformation.
