Brazil.
From December 19, Evonik announced that it will have a new headquarters. The address chosen was Tower A of the modern EZ Towers enterprise, located in the morumbi (SP) neighborhood region. The new headquarters will house administrative and commercial areas that were located on Avenida Paulista.
"The company was divided into 12 small slab plants, which affected communication and integration between the different sectors. Now on two floors connected by an internal staircase and with more spaces, we will have a more productive and innovative environment; with a substantial increase in interaction between the different departments of the company," said Weber Porto, Managing Director for Evonik's South and Central America Region.
The new office will also support regional growth. The company, which has opened three plants in the country in the last three years – two of them in 2016 – and has expanded its service and sales structures in Brazil and some South American countries, will close the year with this important investment.
Sustainability is an important factor in the choice of the new building, which in addition to the high aesthetic level, has all the sustainable characteristics of modern companies, prepared to receive the most modern technologies and systems of telephony, fiber optics, lighting and energy.
The project has a rating of AAA (triple A), which is part of the select group of the best buildings in the city, with reference to the standard technical specifications and corporate image. The condominium benefits from the 14% reduction in energy consumption and 40% in water consumption through the use of high-performance glass elevators with regenerative braking system, which reduces the flow of water in the taps, dual-drive toilets and a rainwater reserve and collection system that are used in garden irrigation.
In this way, the EZ Torres tower won the LEED Gold (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification, the Core and Shell category, compliance with the protocols required by the American organization Green Building Council.
