Clariant Pigments, Konica Minolta and matchmycolor joined forces to accelerate the color matching of polyolefin products.
Clariant has developed a calibration database with its well-known PV pigments FaST and Graphtol.
The database can be easily integrated into Colibri matchmycolor software and is used in conjunction with Konica Minolta's premium desktop and portable spectrophotometers for color matching in polyolefin items. Unveiled at K 2016, the collaboration will benefit masterbatch producers and mixers, as well as designers and brand owners looking to ensure that finished products carry exactly the same color around the world.
The color matching service brings direct sustainability advantages to the plastics industry by reducing the traditional time and cost-of-consumption sequence of creating a color calibration dataset.
Clariant has provided matchmycolor and Konica Minolta with a dataset of 60 organic pigments from their PV Fast and Graphtolen ranges of different concentrations in high-density polyethylene (HDPE), to enable fast and accurate color matching using Konica Minolta spectrophotometers.
