Hempel launches non-stick without biocides

International. Hempel launches to the nautical market a non-stick paint system without biocides which is based on silicone and hydrogel technology, which hinders the adhesion to the hull of the organisms that cause the incrustations, such as algae and balans, and allows their elimination when the boat is in motion.

The hydrogel creates an invisible barrier between the surface of the hull and the water. With its use, the bodies responsible for the scale perceive the helmet as a liquid and, consequently, the scale rate is much lower.

With Silic One, cleaning the scales will be easy for boat owners. Among its innumerable benefits can be mentioned that it not only lacks biocides and copper, but also guarantees lower maintenance costs and long-term savings.
