Evonik announced the expansion of its additive portfolio for printing inks and varnishes with a new product.
The Tego Rad 2800 features the highest launch effect in its Rad line portfolio and thus goes one step further to complete the range of radiation- and additive-cured sliding. It has a marked silicone character, combining strong hydrophobic properties with optimal system compatibility.
Evonik's Rad portfolio is unique because additives can be reticularized in the coating; the resulting release and sliding effects are especially long-lasting. With conventional additives, the release effect is noticeably weaker and less permanent because the additives are not bound in the coating.
The use of Tego Rad 2200 N, 2250 and 2300 allows formulators to achieve good sliding and flowing in printing varnishes, resulting in a defined surface smoothness and good tactile qualities. Due to its excellent compatibility, its use does not impair transparency.
