Sherwin-Williams Protective & Marine Coatings announced the launch of EnviroLastic® 8350, a fast-drying, high-solids polyaspartic urethane coating specifically formulated to resist the attack on mold, mildew and mold film on the exteriors of storage tanks used in wine production facilities and others related to food and beverage industries.
The coating allows surface dirt and fouling to be washed away from structures without damaging the coating or requiring the use of harsh chemicals.
The coating offers chemical resistance to alcohol-based fumes, including ethanol and wine alcohol – as well as hot oils and fats – making it ideal for the wineries and alcohol distilleries industry, as well as other food and beverage applications.
The product is not prone to color change due to sun exposure and is chemically resistant to products such as harsh detergents and disinfectants. Its resistance to the penetration of surfaces of microbial and fouling agents allows the surface material to be easily cleaned, maintaining the clean and pristine appearance of the tank to keep the facilities at their best for longer.
