The training in Qualification of Coating Applicators organized by the Colombian Association of Corrosion and Protection (Ascor) will be held in Bogotá from May 16 to 21.
This training is aimed at personnel in charge of activities for surface treatment and application of coatings with spray and manual application methods.
The theme of the course is as follows:
Corrosion basics.
Coating Technology.
Surface preparation standards and procedures (abrasive jet, mechanical and manual techniques)
Coating application techniques (manual methods, spraying with airless and low pressure equipment)
Interpretation of technical data sheets and coating mixing process.
Quality control in coating application processes (EPH calibration, EPS, adhesion, film continuity, environmental conditions).
Management of safety data sheets.
Industrial Safety in coating application.
Failures in coating application processes and correction procedures.
Field practices in abrasive jet cleaning processes.
Field practices in coating application processes.
This space is aimed at operators of equipment for surface treatment with abrasive jet and coating applicators with spray methods. They must have a minimum of 12 months of experience in surface treatment activities with abrasive jet methods and/or coating application.
