Elcometer, a supplier of coating inspection equipment, physical testing and non-destructive ultrasonic testing products, has taken the strategic decision to consolidate the group's European CNC manufacturing and machining operations in one place.
Over the next four months, Elcometer Belgium's manufacturing operations, located in Hermalle-sous-Argenteau, will be moved to its new modern 1,600 square metre (17,200 sq ft) facility in the UK cnc machining Manchester, which opened in April 2014. The move will maximize productivity and simplify the control and management of Elcometer's coating inspection and physical test equipment businesses.
In recent years, the group has made considerable investment in new equipment, including vertical and horizontal milling machines, sliding head lathes, flat and cylindrical grinding machines, and robotic loading and unloading facilities. This investment pattern will continue with several new equipment additions already assigned for the following year.
This increased capabilities and possibilities will result in direct benefits for customers in terms of increased product availability and quality. The company assured that commercial operations (sales, service and repair) will not be affected.
