Brazil. Like a shade of yellow representing the influence of ochre with gold. This is the Monarch Gold, the color of the year 2016 revealed by Color Futures, a color trend study by the company Tintas Coral.
It is a slightly bright golden ochre color that aims to convey the concept "Looking at both sides. This theme shows the advantages of tradition and innovation, and indicates that, in order to contemplate the past, it is possible to project the future.
The Monarch Gold hue is a coppery orange hue transition from the previous year ("Shade of Cedar") and may be associated with them beiges, browns and yellows, in addition to soft shades of blue. Gold and gold, by the way, are being used in various fields of design and architecture. This always has a good color present: it goes well indoors and also in the outdoor area. It is a tone that mixes with other tones, creating different effects and adapting to different styles of decoration.
As in previous years, the Aesthetic Center invited a group of respected design and color experts to discuss emerging trends around the world, taking into account segments such as fashion, architecture, decoration and behavior. After research and field studies, a consensus was reached on the central theme "Looking towards the two sides", in a pleasant and sophisticated palette for 2016 with pleasant colors, but also with a mysterious and dark facet.
This year's collection consists of 45 shades of amylias of reds, yellows, purples, oranges, blues, greens and neutral (hot and cold). Color experts noted that taking into account divergent opinions and viewpoints has never been more relevant. Opposites are even seen in all the trends of Ccolor Futures 2016: Tradition and Future, words and images, Light and Dark and structure and Freedom.
