Brazil. The multinational chemical solutions company BASF announced the creation of a CasaE (green building) design which uses technologies to meet the demand for sustainability that has been presented in recent times.
In the project, solutions aimed at greater energy efficiency, productivity, reduction of water consumption and thermal and acoustic comfort were announced. The aim of the project is to show the Brazilian market how new technologies work in practice.
The highlight of the CasaE is a construction system, consisting of expanded polystyrene blocks from BASF under the Neopor brand, known as the ICF system – Concrete Formwork Insulator. These blocks help reduce energy consumption and increase thermal comfort, as well as enable rapid construction without compromising design and architecture.
The KNX automation cable was used in the project. KNX is an open protocol for the development of systems for the control of buildings and dwellings, which is used worldwide. Discabos is a member of the KNX organization and provides a specific and approved cable for these systems.
