International. The global company Cementos Mexicano (Cemex) announced that it is working on its firm intention to enter the market coatings, through the commercialization of a product that to generate final finishes to which color can be added for its application.
The finish with which the company will participate is a substitute for plaster for interiors and exteriors called Multiplast, a new element of its portfolio that is currently in the process of being introduced to the market.
The product spent three years conducting pilot tests in homes in Colombia. "In Cemex we have the offer of some products already known Extra, Impercem, Promptis, and we are about to launch and they will begin to listen a lot to a new product called Cemex Multiplast, we are in the first days of introduction," said Juan Romero, president of Cemex Mexico.
The executive also added that annually they invest high sums of money in research and development: "Every year we invest 40 million dollars in product and service development, we have a laboratory that concentrates this part, its headquarters are in Switzerland, but we have mirror laboratories in Europe and America, specifically in Mexico."
