Mexico. The Mexican Association of Surface Finishing Industries (AMAS) held a Kick Off 2024 event, which was graced by the presence of Marcus Dantus, and served to make a presentation of the main successes of the organization.
The Club de Industriales de Querétaro received the presence of the associates, as well as guests from Chambers and Strategic Associations for the Association.
The president of the Association, Manuel García Garza, welcomed the guests, and made the presentation of Marcus Dantus, founder and president of Startup Mexico, also known for his participation as an investor in Shark Tank Mexico, who spoke about the importance of innovation to stay current in the market.
For more than an hour, the promoter of the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Mexico exemplified how companies that became among the most valuable in the world ended up disappearing because innovation was left aside.
He commented that, according to his perspective, Mexico has great growth potential and is one of the most creative countries, but it is necessary for that creativity to be transformed into innovation in order to generate a positive impact.
The participation of Dantus ended with an interactive Q&A session with the attendees, to later give way to the closing message of the session, by Genaro Montes Díaz, Undersecretary of Economic Development of Querétaro, who attended on behalf of the Secretary of Economic Development of Querétaro, Marco Antonio del Prete Tercero.
The highlight of the meeting came when Ruth Rodríguez, director of AMAS, recounted the achievements of the Association, as well as the announcement of the venue of the next venue and date of its Surface Finisihing Mexico 2024 event, which will take place at the Poliforum de León on November 6 and 7.
To end the Kick Off event, a lunch was held at the same venue so that attendees could network among the associates.
