Colombia. PPG, through its Colorful Communities program, together with the Gente Unida Foundation, intervened in the Hogar Bohío de María in the Guasimalito de Bello neighborhood, a municipality near Medellín, in Antioquia.
"We thank our PPG volunteers for putting their brushstrokes and effort to highlight the education, care and health spaces for children of this important social work," said the company when highlighting the joint work to fill with color "a home that positively transforms the lives of children and that fulfills valuable social work in the metropolitan area of Medellín."
According to Carlos Torres, resources manager of the Gente Unida Foundation, the construction of this home began in 1994, which has benefited more than 1,400 children who are at physical and moral risk.
"Thanks to your intervention, our home is going to be beautiful," Torres said in reference to the painting day led by PPG.
According to Monica María Vasquez, EHS manager for the Andean Region of PPG, this year the company completed 500 interventions since 2015, impacting 8.2 million people through this program.
"Truly the time that you dedicate to these beautiful works around the world is priceless to thank you for," Torres insisted.
