Latin America. The National Association of Paint and Ink Manufacturers (Anafapyt) received a consultation from its members regarding the import and use of Toluene, a substance regulated in the recently published decree of the Federal Law for the Control of Chemical Precursors of Mexico.
In this regard, Anafapyt formally submitted this consultation to the Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks (Cofepris) with the aim of providing clarity and certainty to its associates in support of their production processes that include the import and use of Toluene within the framework of application of the decree of the Law.
On the other hand, on August 21, 2023, Anafapyt circulated, as part of the international regulatory monitoring to its associates, the draft Regulation to the Peruvian Law that regulates the content of lead in paints.
Therefore, the Association submitted comments on the draft regulations of the Law of Peru to the authority responsible for the regulation of that country, with the aim of safeguarding the interests of its members and facilitating the foreign trade of paintings to that country.
