International. PPG's SEM product unit launched Gladiator XC Matte Extreme, a low-gloss premium urethane protective coating that can be used in different industries.
Among the various applications targeted by this product are automotive, light industrial, marine, recreational and emergency vehicles.
Gladiator XC coating has a tough, textured, low-gloss matte finish that's durable and flexible.
It features a long shelf life, fast curing time, superior fade resistance and UV stability, and complies with VOC regulations in all U.S. states.
It also meets the key test used by international standards organization ASMI to qualify a coating's resistance to cracking once applied and cured on sheet metal or other flexible materials.
"Gladiator XC Matte Extreme coating can be used for truck bodies, trailers and other products in the refinish market and its use extends to other industries and applications," said Meghan Barrera, PPG commercial director of allied products, Automotive Refinish.
"It combines the benefits of a premium product at a competitive price and is easy to use, making it ideal for many aftermarket applications," he said.
Gladiator XC can be applied with gun, brush or roller. It is available in kit and bulk sizes dyed in black and clear.
