Latin America. The company recently opened its new headquarters in Mexico City, where it brings together technical experts in one place along with the executive, marketing and sales teams.
"The opening of our new offices, along with the Regional Innovation Center, marks a milestone for Azelis in Latin America. Azelis will now be able to provide an unsurpassed level of service, technical support and an innovative solution for our customers," said Azelis Americas CEO and President Frank Bergonzi at the opening of the headquarters, located alongside five industry-specific application labs.
"Our new state-of-the-art laboratories will fulfill our mission of 'innovation through formulation' for our customers and managers," Bergonzi said.
The company's Mexican headquarters include the management, marketing and sales offices of Personal Care and H&IC (home care and industrial cleaning), CASE (coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers), RPA (additives for rubber and plastics), Food and Nutrition, Pharma & Healthcare and the Animal Health divisions.
The site also hosts virtual and live customer seminars, interactive formulation workshops and technical tutorials, as well as in-house training for sales and support teams.
Azelis had already strengthened its presence in the Mexican market: in 2020 it acquired Megafarma, the following year it inaugurated the Regional Innovation Center and at the beginning of 2022 it was renamed Azelis Mexico.
"The opening of our new headquarters highlights Azelis' commitment to increasing its leadership position in the supply of specialty ingredients and innovative solutions in Mexico," said Eduardo Salinas, CEO of Azelis Latin America.
"Collaboration between team members and with our customers and managers is an important factor contributing to our success. The new headquarters and innovation center will further support our strategy," Salinas added.
The company serves 15 specific markets worldwide, including CASE segments. The expansion in Mexico (it already has operations in Monterrey, Merida and Guadalajara) conveys the company's commitment to invest and grow its operations in Latin America.
Recently, Azelis signed an agreement to acquire a majority stake in ROCSA Colombia, a renowned specialty chemicals company active in the life sciences and industrial chemicals markets in South America. The acquisition represents a strategic expansion of the group's footprint, reinforcing the platform to carry out its growth strategy in the region.
