Colombia. With the purpose of training more than 1,000 master painters in the country during 2019, Axalta began the 5th edition of "Axalta en Tour" that will bring mobile training to more than 35 workshops during the project. The first stop takes place in Bogotá from June 17, and will last one month, and then pass through Cali, Medellín and Barranquilla between July and September.
With the support of the National Learning Service (SENA), this Tour brings free training to master painters to teach them automotive refinishing techniques and tools to improve performance and productivity in their workshops, with the support of multimedia teams and specialized technicians. This free training program has reached 11,300 master painters in Latin America since 2015.
"Our commitment to the Colombian market is strengthened year after year, so in 2019 we will continue to reinforce our global vision of being the preferred company of customers looking for innovative products and services, developed and executed by the most talented team in the industry," says Ricardo Abisambra, Manager of Axalta Coating Systems Colombia.
To date, "Axalta en Tour" has impacted eight departments in Colombia, managing to train 4,000 master painters at the end of 2018, achieving a social and transformative impact within the sector. It should be noted that the participants of the 5th edition of the "Axalta en Tour" program will also be certified by SENA, support that opens the doors to generate a greater opportunity for employability and creation of business ideas.
"With the mobile tour we will obtain greater zonal coverage of the workshops and we will identify the needs of the market and those who are part of the sector to bring more and better coating solutions. We want to go further and that is why we will not only reach large surface workshops but also small workshops that want to grow and train," said Karla Tortolero, Marketing and Strategic Planning Manager of Axalta Latin America.
The next trainings will take place in Cali on July 15, Medellín on August 15 and Barranquilla on September 15.
