Bolivia. With the participation of 57 exhibiting companies and more than 4,000 visitors, the second version of the Expocolor Painting and Coatings fair was held on May 10 at the Fexpocruz fairgrounds in the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, resulting in greater growth in the paints and construction sector in the Andean country.
According to the organizer of the event, Nicolás Petit, "the great effort and preparation of each of the exhibiting companies was noted to show in detail their services, products, novelties and trends, demonstrating to Bolivian society that they support the growth of the paintings and construction sector."
The fair was attended by two international companies, Aike and Nanotek Paints with specialized paint for Hospitals manufactured with nanotechnology, and six national paint manufacturers: Coral, Monopol, American Chemical, Linox, Sika and Gama, as well as fourteen importers of paints and supplies, the associations Asopint (Association of painters of departmental houses Santa Cruz) and Asofecruz (Association of Hardware Stores of Santa Cruz), and various service companies and educational institutions.
Of the 4,053 visitors to the fair, 30% are counted as the general public, 22% house painters and architects, 13% students, 9% construction companies, 6% hardware stores, 4% sellers and 3% from the Automotive and Carpenter sectors, among others.
As for the origin of the public, 3,900 people were from Santa Cruz, 123 from Cochabamba, 22 from La Paz, eleven from Trinidad, eleven from Tarija, three from Sucre and eleven people from other countries.
