Arkema's resin-based Kynar 500 PVDF coatings are used worldwide for the protection of metal structures in aluminum, galvanized steel and aluminized steel, due to their resistance to the action of elements, such as sun, rain and contaminants.
The manufacture of this high-performance fluoropolymer resin has a high capacity to retain color and shine for long periods, resisting the chemical damage that occurs in another type of coating over the years.
Ultraviolet radiation degrades the hue of colors, in the Kynar 500 coating the resin is transparent to this radiation and when combined with metal oxide pigments a coating resistant to this degradation is created, allowing at the same time a diversity of textures, colors and effects, including metallic and litmus.
