Paraguay. The company Inatec SRL, belonging to Sika, recently put into operation its new industrial plant in which they produce waterproofing products for works.
According to the director of the firm, José Luis Fedriani, the investment made for the new plant was more than one million dollars. "Inatec is the leading firm in terms of these products within the Paraguayan construction market," he said.
The factory is the one of liquid products and presents several lines in which the liquid additives, the liquid membranes, which are used as paints, liquid products for mortars, stand out. He pointed out that with the new plant they obtain a greater production capacity and better quality.
"That is a market that is growing and that is accompanied by the boom in building constructions registered in Asunción and Gran Asunción, in addition to the constructions of civil works that has increased in recent years," said the representative of Inatec.
The new construction also functions as a warehouse and distribution center for the company. Currently, the company employs about 110 people directly.
The company had already opened another plant in mid-2015 in which they produce powdered waterproofing called mortars, which are used for tiles and floors.
The firm imports certain products, such as polyurethane sealants, structural sealants that are products that require a lot of manufacturing technology as well as a lot of environmental care.
As for exports, the director of the firm said that they are not making them because they prioritize the Paraguayan market. The main drawback for export is freight.
